Life-extending Police Action (LHP) is a police product that arose from operational demand in the field of our police task of providing emergency assistance. This concerns tactical assistance in the event of catastrophic and/or traumatic injuries for/by the police. It gives police colleagues self-confidence, knowledge, skills and materials to effectively provide assistance to those injured in violent incidents and accidents.

Self-help is also an integral part of LHP. LHP is a train the trainer concept, where colleagues themselves provide the training for their own quality group. We now have almost 400 LHP trainers nationwide. After a 1.5 week training course, a police colleague can become an LHP trainer.

Our wish and also our aim is to train all RTGP required LHP. But we also know that this is not yet feasible (yet). Nearly 4,000 LHP end users have been trained nationally, and this group is growing every month.
