Fire brigade training center Kleefse Waard was founded in 2000 by Gert van de Weerd after our barracks served as a company fire brigade at the AkzoNobel industrial park.

Our mission is safety! We increasingly notice that in a world of turnover and profit, safety has become a final issue.

General

Fire brigade training center Kleefse Waard is characterized by its central location, high quality, flexibility and cordiality. We work from a closed site where our customers experience a high degree of privacy and can train very realistically. Our customers do not have to adapt to us, we adapt to our customer's wishes.

Fire brigade

Both Professional and Volunteer firemen and women literally risk their lives in their work to save human lives and/or further consequential damage. They are care providers with a big heart for the well-being of their fellow man. It is in the greatest possible interest of everyone that they are properly and, above all, realistically trained when society needs them. They must first be safe themselves in order to make it safe for others.

We offer the Fire Department an enclosed area where they can do their training without distractions, but in a realistic environment with traffic and rules. We adapt our practice objects to the wishes and needs of the practice goals that are set and are flexible even on practice days. We provide a real heat experience by burning wood.

Businesses

Companies also have to deal with safety in the broadest sense of the word. They have to comply with more and more rules and more and more is expected of people. The risk of an industrial accident is high and, in addition to personal suffering, this can also cause a lot of business damage. It is therefore very important that companies have well-trained people who have practiced realistically at such a level that they can maintain full focus in the event of a disaster. The impact is significant after a fire, physical failure or, for example, an evacuation. Do you know what requirements you must comply with and how to act in the event of an emergency?

Every business has risks, but not every business has the same risks. One company has to deal with a lot of transport and walking people and the other company has to deal with chemicals or heat, for example. You can imagine that it is important to ensure that your employees are well prepared for emergencies. Our people are firefighters with extensive experience who have "seen and experienced" the risks like no other. We write scenarios and adapt them to your company and your risks. We practice these scenarios with your people at our or your location for an even more realistic experience.

This includes emergency response, first aid, breathing air training and maintenance service, supply and maintenance of fire extinguishers, evacuation and safety plans and the supply of (temporary) safety personnel. We can also test your product for fire safety. With our knowledge and expertise, we can provide you with complete peace of mind regarding your safety issues.

Energy transition

The energy transition is in full swing, ensuring progress and a greener world. We discover many new things at a very rapid pace. We are of course very happy with these developments, but do we know exactly what the fire hazard is and how to act in the event of a fire? Is there good coordination with all security services? For example, we are all familiar with serious accidents involving electric vehicles. The fire in this example is intense due to heat, unstoppable and extremely bad for health. The risk of consequential damage and (permanent) health problems is enormous.

This topic will be one of our spearheads. We have a joint vision and ambition here with Industrial Park Kleefse Waard and the municipality of Arnhem. Partly for this reason, we have all the ingredients and, above all, experience to carry out these dangerous tests on our site in order to save lives. We work together with leading parties and governments in this area to ensure that the good part of the transition is as safe as possible.

Breathable air

We relieve our customers in the field of breathing air. This means that we clean, inspect, repair and supply breathing apparatus. We collect this from our customers and ensure that the customer is never left without safe equipment in the event of emergencies or maintenance.

Extinguishing media

We advise, supply, maintain and inspect your extinguishing equipment. We take care of this out of your hands.

Safety Personell

We provide quality safety personnel such as fire guards, manhole guards, rescue team, safety experts. This can be ad hoc or planned such as a maintenance stop. We ensure that you no longer have to worry about this and that your question is answered quickly and with "our" quality and identity.

Developments 2024

We are building a new site complete with a fully-fledged platform with train sets, switches, transition. In addition, we mainly focus on heavy technical assistance, provincial road with ditch, helicopter fire fighting and a tunnel staging aimed at the Princess Beatrix Tunnel of the Betuwe Line.

In addition, we will burn sustainably at our boiler room. This means that we realistically continue to burn wood, but that the emissions are virtually ZERO.

The above are no longer plans, but are in progress and will be realized this year!

We have also made plans for the further development and specialization of our boiler room in the coming years in order to be able to train even more realistically with more atmosphere and experience!
