Energy in Motion
Under the title 'Energy in Motion', eRIC 2022 addresses a topical theme that is keeping the security domain busy: the energy transition, with all its opportunities and challenges. New fuels and energy concepts are being introduced in both the building environment and mobility, with the goal of 95% less CO2 emissions by 2050. These ambitions affect the emergency services sector via two tracks: on the one hand, the accommodation and vehicle fleets of the emergency services must also be made sustainable; on the other hand, alternative energy systems introduce new risks and new incident types. The safety regions and knowledge institutes in the safety domain are therefore emphatically involved in the energy transition. The safety regions and knowledge institutes in the safety domain are therefore expressly involved in energy transition in order to advise on preventive safety and to develop action perspectives for emergency service personnel.
At the 'Energy in Motion Plaza' during eRIC 2022, representatives of emergency services, knowledge institutions and the business community will meet to discuss a cross-section of all developments in the field of energy. Wind energy, solar panels, heat pumps, electricity storage in lithium-ion battery stations, electric driving, hydrogen, biogas and LNG/CNG; what safety issues and challenges do these developments bring along? In a 'multiple helix collaboration', knowledge institutions, designers, manufacturers, authorities and emergency response professionals connect with each other to share knowledge and expertise. A broad alliance of partners with the common task of ensuring that the climate-neutral society is also safe. This broad proactive cooperation is also 'energy in motion'! Take part in this energy, immerse yourself in all the innovations in the field of energy and experience how they interact with the practice of the security domain.
